The Simpsons: The Complete Twelfth Season

Bestsellers in Movies and TV The Simpsons: The Complete Twelfth Season The Simpsons: The Complete Twelfth Season DVDs Stills from The Simpsons: The Complete Twelfth Season I won't go in depth here about the episodes in this season... anyone who's picking up the DVD set knows about these already. I will say the special edition head box is a lot better than last season. While it's not as easy to get them out of the sleeve as if they were in plastic holders, they made the cardboard dividers in between each disc a lot thicker and somehow that lets the DVD's slide out a LOT easier than with season 11. One disc in last season's set was nearly impossible to get out, but it's not so bad this time around.
The Simpsons is an American animated television sitcom created by Matt Groening for the Fox Broadcasting Company. The Simpsons series is a satirical parody of a middle class American lifestyle epitomized by its eponymous family, which consists of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie. The Simpsons show is set in the fictional city of Springfield, and lampoons American culture, society, television and many aspects of the human condition.

Mixed Emotions, The Simpsons: The Complete Twelfth Season release is another gem in a long line of Simpsons releases. Buy it and enjoy it

Always great, just more of what we love!, The Simpsons: The Complete Twelfth Season is not really different than any of the other seasons, just more of the same stuff from Springfield's first family. Oddly that is the first time I think I have ever spelled out "twelfth" which, when you look at it, is a very funny word. Watch them high, watch them dry, just watch them.

Simpsons: Season 12 on DVD August 18th!!

One of the best seasons of the simpsons, very good quality in materials and box design.

"Worst. Season. Ever." -Comic Book Guy, Just kidding - my favorite show - can't wait to see who they pick for the next season DVD set.

The Comic Book Guy Head Packaging is not for everyone. If you care about storing your dvds neatly in a shelf made for storing dvds you may prefer the non-head packaging. I keep them separate from movie discs anyway but they do take up extra storage space.

The Simpsons fan said... The Simpsons Season 11 wasn't very dissapointing, but The Simpsons Season 12 was a huge improvements, The Simpsons season 13 was very good, a lot of people don't really get the jokes, thats because their younger, and The Simpsons season 14 was not bad. The Simpsons 15 was dissapointing again, but The Simpsons 16 was a bit better. The Simpsons 17 was a bit of improvent, The Simpsons 18 was a lot better, and then The Simpsons 19 was back on track and lastly, The Simpsons 20 was one of my favourites seasons. I'm buying all of them though.

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

Bestsellers in Movies and TV G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra GI Joe the rise of cobra dvds The Rise of Cobra is not your grandfather's G.I. Joe. It's more like C.G.I. Joe with explosive special-effects action sequences that provide the film with a surplus of ''Boom Boom Pow'' (to quote the Black Eyed Peas song that drives the end credits). This blast from the summer past is very much like the metal-munching nano-mite missiles a (literally) mad Doctor (Joseph Gordon-Levitt cashing in some of his indie cred) and McCullen, a Scottish weapons dealer (Christopher Eccleston), threaten to unleash upon the world. It never stops. Ever. The original G.I. Joe action figure was an all-American hero. These Joes are--all together now--''the best of the best,'' an elite multi-national squad. Two soldiers, Duke (a buff Channing Tatum), an ''on the ground, in the fight'' kind of guy, and Ripcord (Marlon Wayans), his wisecracking best friend, are rescued by the Joes after they are ambushed while transporting the missiles. These are no ordinary Joes. Snake-Eyes (Ray Park) is a silent ninja, Stella (Rachel Nichols) a bodacious brainiac, Heavy Duty (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) the imposing weapons specialist, and Breaker (Said Taghamaoui) the techie. They are led by gruff Gen. Hawk (Dennis Quaid), who barks out lines like, ''When all else fails, we don't,'' with polish. Duke and Ripcord are recruited to join the classified unit after Duke discovers that Ana (Sienna Miller), his former fiancée, is in cahoots with McCullen and now sports the sinister moniker the Baroness, not to mention killer cleavage-enhancing latex outfits. This being the first in a budding franchise, there is much backstory to cover. Flashbacks date back to 1641! But the order of the day is underground military command centers, underwater evil lairs, gleaming high-tech weaponry, breakneck chases, and cool gadgets, such as a speed-accelerating hydraulic suit. It's enough to make you want to dust off your original Hasbro action figures or, the studio no doubt hopes, buy the new ones.

Excellent movie considering the source material.,
Author: neighborlee from United States

After having seen this film, right after watching transformers latest movie, I am appalled to see critics here with their noses in the air, and obviously drowning in their own misplaced lack of objectivity.

I've seen far too many reviews here suggesting there was no plot , bad acting ad nauseam, but honestly I think its jealousy from not having gotten the part(s), because the only bad acting I see so far is insincere outrage from expectations in the negative.

How much more of a plot do you need anyway , what movie did it for you and what comparisons are you drawing between the two ? THe effects were incredible and the pacing was never without thrills and they did it all without resorting to over the top boring , unnecessary and undesireable plot stealing gore; so if you didn't like this movie then don't blame the movie, or even high expectations but instead maybe your confusion came from trying to watch the movie and having your thoughts betray you with visions of that last bad tomatoes experience .

I've seen the scores from this and transformers2 and many other movies that were otherwise great in many ways, but overall scores held down very likely by people that would never have gone to see the movie to begin with and just wanted to come find fault and minimize, so at the end of the day I say don't go into a movie without knowing something about what you'll be seeing and be honest with that expectation and instead of expecting the movie to necessarily 'obey' the law of physics accept it for what it is. It's a movie , where you are supposed to be whisked away to a fantasy realm ( unless based purely on fact ) where the idea is to have some fun, dream, and maybe discover inspiration to make this a better place for everyone.

I thought about the score initially, and while I wasn't completely happy about some acting honestly, overall I could not hold this movie down on that one small flaw because it delivered on its intentions of drawing us into a fantasy world where bad people do bad things, good people becomes heroes, and at the end , life was renewed by two people who didn't give up on each other and all was becoming right with the world again.

Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure

Bestsellers in Movies and TV: Tinkerbell and the lost treasure Tinker Bell dvd Tinkerbell is back for a whole new season of adventure in Tinkerbell and the Lost Treasure. Pixie Hollow is all abuzz with preparations for autumn and Tinkerbell is hard at work on her latest invention when she is unexpectedly summoned by Queen Clarion and the Minister of autumn. Tinkerbell fears that she's in trouble again, but is instead delighted to find out that Fairy Mary has recommended her for the important job of creating a one-of-a-kind scepter that will focus the light of an unusual blue harvest moon through a rare moonstone in order to replenish the pixie dust tree's supply of pixie dust. Tinkerbell gladly rises to the challenge, accepting her dust-keeper friend Terrence's offers of help, but as the days fly rapidly by, pressure begins to build and Tinkerbell becomes annoyed by Terrence's constant attention. Sending Terrence away on an errand seems like a good idea, but what he brings back inadvertently causes the almost finished scepter and the incredibly rare moonstone to break into pieces. Tinkerbell lashes out at Terrence and then departs alone on a desperate quest to fix the moonstone. What Tinkerbell learns on her journey is that she must take responsibility for her own actions and that the power and value of true friendship is much greater than she'd ever imagined. Like the first Tinkerbell, the colors and clarity of animation are simply breathtaking in this production, but the story lags somewhat thanks to a lengthy set up and a general lack of suspense in the first half of the film. Still, it's a perfectly entertaining movie that will delight children ages 3 and up as well as satisfy most parents. Returning voice talent includes Mae Whitman, Kristin Chenoweth, Jane Horrocks, Anjelica Huston, Jesse McCartney, and Raven-Symone. --Tami Horiuchi Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure is a 2009 computer animated film based on the Disney Fairies franchise produced by DisneyToon Studios. Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure is a sequel to 2008's Tinker Bell, and also revolves around Tinker Bell, a fairy character created by J. M. Barrie in his play Peter Pan, or The Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up, and featured in subsequent adaptations, especially in animated works by the Walt Disney Company.

Tinker Bell journey far North of Never Land to patch things up with her friend Terence and restore a Pixie Dust Tree.

Delightful and full-worthy "sequel" to "Tinker Bell",
Author: migu-d from Norway

All fans of Tinker Bell and her first movie have no reason to worry; "Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure" is a full-worthy sequel to the first movie. Considering that there's only one year of absence between the movies, the filmmakers have done a good job to make this a complete movie and not only a product for cash-cowing, like it easily could have been.

Although I enjoyed last years Tinker Bell adventure, I definitively enjoyed this film more. The previews who were released before the movie came out seemed very promising and the final movie definitively lived up to the expectations. This "sequel" is more dynamic in many ways. It opens with the catchy and inspiring "If You Believe". The plot is more engaging, more suspenseful and it has a few more action sequences than it's predecessor, but this is after all a G-rated family film, so it never crosses the line.

The film focus more on the relationship between Tink and Terence this time, which serves the movie well. Tink herself is presented as a versatile character and the fact that she actually talks feels never distracting in neither of the movies.

Otherwise, this film has the cuteness-factor like the first flick had, which only makes the experience more enjoyable, but it's also a bit more edgier in terms of the adventurous plot. The animation is even better this time, the characters are still likable and the cute score of Joel McNeely fits the movie well. Besides, there are more humor in the screenplay.

So don't hesitate by seeing this movie when it comes to DVD. It is a cute and sweet movie experience and a wonderful movie threat for kids and every Tinker Bell fan.
